The Winter Olympics is like the Summer Olympics when it comes to athletics competing in sports, but different when it comes to the sports played in this game as well as the terrain. In the Winter Olympics, the athletics are played on ice and snow. The events are different as well with luge, snowboarding, etc. The winners get gold, silver, or bronze, depending on where they placed for that event. The very first Winter Olympics started in 1924 in Chamonix, France, but was interrupted by World War II. However, the Winter Olympics Games picked back up in 1948 and was held every four years. Both the Winter Olympics and the Summer Olympics are held on separate alternating years to prevent conflict. Do you think you can go for gold! Try it out and have fun!
